The founder.
Matthias trained at EY, one of the Big 4, and holds a Master's in Accountancy. That is where the discipline comes from: the habit of running a business unit on a real P&L, holding every decision to its contribution, and building processes that survive the people who set them up.
The digital side started earlier. He has been building websites since he was 13, and after EY spent five years running a paid-ads and content agency, delivering digital projects for brands before specialising in ecommerce. That is where finance and digital met: first as Ecommerce Manager and then as fractional Head of Ecommerce at Jimmy Joy, an eight-figure DTC nutrition brand, and since then across a number of high-profile engagements on different continents. In each, the same pattern: install the numbers, install the rhythm, give every area an owner, and the growth follows.
Frontleft is that pattern turned into a firm. Every engagement, fractional or development, runs on the same operating standards: written scope before any price, a weekly rhythm with named owners, playbooks under the everyday work, and a monthly read of the number. Standards a Big 4 firm would recognise, applied to Shopify stores.
